Spring in Manchester

Sitting in the sun with a G&T on Sunday in Manchester, I looked up & this was what I saw.

Cinema day today, Beauty & the Beast.
We enjoyed it very much, lots of singing, dancing & special effects but surprisingly scary. Not sure what age group it aimed at, just a few adults in the audience but young children would find it hard to follow I think. Probably aimed at ten upwards just guessing although kids these days watch all sorts of scary stuff.

Three good things:
1. We are all so happy as Jack has won a place on the JET programme after he graduates from uni this summer. Teaching English in Japan for any time from one year to five years as he wishes. Very hard to get a place so he is thrilled, a great experience for him.
2. Looking forward to watching Escape to the Country tomorrow afternoon. A house in the next lane to us is featured.
3. A long chat to Alex yesterday morning.
Blue sky! Great to see. Congrats to Jack. Looking forward to seeing Beauty and the Beast myself!

A gorgeous image. Our neighbour's daughter did the JET thing for a year and came back to NZ last August. She loved it.

Great to see blossom - start of better weather and summer still to come! A lot of people can get jobs as English teachers but i think some have to have a degree like Jack.

Beautiful PoV with the blossoms against the deep blue sky, the stark white jet contrail, and the roof line of a wonderful old building.

Such a delightful way to spend a beautiful spring day! A G&T, sunshine, spring blossoms, and blue sky! Love it! Congratulations to Jack!! Perhaps you'll work in a visit to Japan while he's there? We have friends whose son did a similar program after graduation. They are in Japan now having a fabulous time visiting him.
