Ant, me & Finn went round the poultry place this afternoon & looked at all the unusual hens. Some very odd looking birds!
Three good things:
1.A lovely warm day
2. Finn has had a haircut!
3. I went to the doctor & I am having blood test tomorrow so progress at last re my arthritis.
How fascinating! They all have their own characteristics too.
Do you remember giving the B team a tour of all the different things to see at Latus Hall Farm? They loved the guinea fowl 😊.
Meanwhile Allan and I enjoyed a relaxing cuppa 😊
Well they say - beauty lies in the eyes of the beholder !!- to me this poor little thing in the foreground looks scared and moulting !! I assume not bread for egg production !! ha ha !! The b/w twosome ,look quite pretty ! Any way I am sure the boys enjoyed looking around at the different breeds !
@beryl Yes they do look rather rangy Beryl but it's the breed that looks like this. Can't remember the name but they have little hats on, very charming too but also expensive!!
@sarah19 Yes I do Sallie, all your brood had pink T shirts on, I always remember that. All houses now at the old farm, in a courtyard & it does look very nicely done.
@maggiemae all very well looked after Maggie & nearly all of them outside in the fields. This cabin just had the very young ones & smaller breeds. Ducks, geese, peacocks & every breed of hen you could think of. This is where Harry buys his hens.
@happypat that's interesting to hear and still lovely to remember that first meeting. Who'd have thought we would get to know each other this way!
