During the evening we had to follow a map & look for the answers to clues on the way round.
Such a beautiful spot but there was a very long track along a very narrow path through the woods alongside the River, I reckon we had to walk about a mile & a half before we got to a weir.
As it was raining this narrow path got very wet & quite dangerous in miy opinion. There were roots of trees, slippy stones & narrow ledges, it was a miracle no one fell in the river! One of our party slipped on her back & we had to haul her up but despite all that we managed to answer more questions than we had ever done before!
I thought this looked quite odd whe I saw this bank of sand, it seems to be floating above air. The pool is reflecting something but because it was so dark under the trees you don't get a clear reflection.
We heard today that Max has started with Chicken Pox! Apparently it was going round his school in NZ so of course Finn will also get it!
Three good things:
1. A great supper of hot pot & apple pie afterwards.
2. The Lions tour was a draw, they did so well to match the All Blacks!
3. I wore my walking boots, & was pleased they weren't leaking like they usually do & so comfortable! I only discovered this morning I had been wearing Harry's spare ones!
Ps.. i didn't see the game but good that the series eas a draw.. though don't let some over here hear me say that.. all those lion supporters have certainly been loyal supporters.. even saw some in our little town the other day.. red jerseys and kilts..
Such a neat shot - it does seem to be hanging in mid air!
So sorry to hear about the chicken pox - not very common anymore.
I wish him a speedy recovery.
