I rounded the corner on my canal walk & came across this heron. He stayed quite stil until I got quite near him then up & away but only to the opposite bank. I think he is quite used to people walking along that path.
Three good things:
1. Boiler leak mended & a great chat to the boiler man who has lots of funny stories to tell plus a great take on life!
2. A tidy up of a mucky neglected corner!
3. Marilyn from down the road has done what I vowed to do every time I went out in the car. She has trimmed round the hedge that had grown over the name of our lane, people can actually find us now!
