They worked hard yesterday combining all the wheat, this field & another to the left & another right behind me.
We could hear a bit of banging last night so I think there had been a bit if a break down but this was the scene we woke up to this morning!
We've had a really busy day today feeding five b&bers & changing beds & clearing up after them, all washing in & dried but I'm shattered tonight.
The Americans didn't come in until after 1am so you can't help but listen out for them so lack of sleep too doesn't help.
A quiet night tonight!
Three good things:
1. Lovely to have a clean house again, there was grass all over the stairs from the tractor pulling field.
2. Watered all the pots, they were looking decidedly dry.
3. I cleaned out the last of the chocolate ice cream pot from NZ visitors trip.
@maggiemae@gijsje Ha ha no they were at the big tractor pulling event in the village. I knew where they were & it was no problem I never mind when people come in as sometimes here for weddings etc. The only thing was they hadn't been & dropped their luggage off, had no key & didn't know where the rooms were! If they had their women folk with them it wouldn't have arisen as they would have checked in! Was all,ok in the end but I was listening for them.
@julzmaioro yes we like to see this scene, all tidy & done in great weather! The black bales have been there for a while but Harry has been down & prodded them, he says they are still firm but birds have pecked holes in them! Slack farming, farmer in Thailand!
Such a lovely golden and rural scene . It really looks as if Autumn is nearly with us . A lovely composition Pat. Fav You have had a busy day - those men with their trails of grass on your stairs should have taken off their boots !!
This is a lovely scene - pale and soft colours!
Hope you can catch up on some sleep tonight.
