Very pleasant day today on our coach trip to this lovely stately home.
The Duke & Duchess of Devonshire live here, handed down from generation to generation. I won't tell you the history as if you're interested in it enough you can google!
I massive undertaking though to keep this lovely house in good repair, there was scafolding up all over the place, an ongoing job I'm sure.
Lovely Christmas stalls & we enjoyed them all although I came home without spending much amazingly for me!
Three good things:
1. A bottle of delicious bramble Gin came home with me! @brennieb have you made any bramble Gin?
2. We set off in drizzle & arrived in dry cold weather.
3. Driving through the beautiful country side of the Derbyshire Peak District, not an area I know well at all.
A good paving underfoot to keep people dry! These guys are putting their all into the singing! I recently read bramble was an English word for blackberry!
