We have loads of squirrels in our front garden. Five really big oak trees encourage them to nest in there & so we have a daily stream of them running along the top of this wall to pinch peanuts off the bird table.
We have had the odd period of trying to chase them off as it's surprising his many nuts they go through but have given up, we know when we're beaten!
We can have as many as five eating at the same time.
I caught this one in mid flight this morning. It's a very strange colour as it's grey on its front half & orange colour on its hind quarters.
Three good things:
1. Going to try the new pizza take away in the village tonight.
2. Reading a really good book from the library called The Stolen Marriage by Diane Chamberlain.
3. I have borrowed a kindle charger from my neighbour, I have lost mine. Must order another but I thought as soon as I order a new one the old will reappear!
This is a real brick photo! The squirrel might be a young red one turning gradually. I found you can buy an anti squirrel feeding device - Anything by Droll Yankees, Brome Bird Care or Wild Bill’s is good.
@maggiemae We e tried anti squirrel feeders but the silly birds couldn't seem to get the hang of them either! Will google yours to see if different. I would love it to be a red one maggie but there aren't any round here...Lake District nearest, we wondered if it was a cross bred but Harry thinks it's just the sun!
