Gus hasn't come across much rain in his short life.
Long sunny days pretty much all the time since he was born.
It absolutely poured down last night with rain & a bit of thunder thrown in.
He spent the evening sitting by the window gazing out at the unusual sight of the rain bouncing off the drive.
Three good things:
1. The parched earth has a drink at last. Not enough to stop the hose pipe ban which comes into force in a weeks time.
2. A charity do down our lane quite well supported this afternoon.
3. A night in to watch the last episode of Poldark.
He is a little beauty ! - - lots of different weathers and experiences in front of him before he turns 1yrs old , Pat . Yes at last some rain ,but could do with so much more to penetrate the earth !
That puss really is watching you! I guess the rain is a shock if completely new. It has been VERY wet here too this weekend. I had to empty the flowerpot on the patio table as the plant in it would have drowned! But the gardens were so in need of it!
Reminds me of the cat we had in Cyprus. It doesn't rain there from April to November and Wilfred, the cat we acquired while out there was born in April. He used to have a dust bath every morning in the dry sandy soil. He got quite a shock when he had his morning dust bath morning it had rained for the first time during his life, he was covered in wet sand.
