Our daughter & family are in Devon at the moment so me & other mum are minding the teenager.
Gus is around seven months old now & too young to be left with just a visit to be fed.
Ruth comes in first thing in the morning to let him in....he does like to go out at night...then I arrive about 6.15pm & spend a couple of hours with him to keep him company.
Not much life in him tonight, he's tired, just sitting beside me asleep again!
Three good things:
1. He hasn't used his litter tray once!
2. Our eldest son & daughter in law celebrate their Pearl wedding today.
3. Winter food...mashed potatoes, mince & peas.
A beautiful cat and busily grooming himself ! He is a very lucky cat Pat !! Ooh I agree - winter comforting food - we had our 1st casserole of the season on Saturday, and tonight we have had our 1st mash potatoes with the rest of the beef roast reheated in the gravy with carrots peas and sprouts !
If not using the litter tray he must have done his business outside. Cats keep to their routine so strongly! It would be very quiet there - no B&B guests there with you - but it wouldn't matter - you don't provide dinner!
@maggiemae Definitely not dinner! I felt bad letting him go out tonight as it was raining but he seemed happy to go out. He has a bed under the BBQ cover that he uses. Has his teddy in there! @sarah19
@louannwarren That was the idea at the start Lou Ann but we discounted that in the end as he's quite young & I was frightened if he went out I wouldn't be able to get him back in. We looked after one of Cathy's cats at home here a few years ago & when we took him back he got killed on the road the next day. Safer in his own surroundings I think. As long as he gets his cuddles!
@busylady Yes very well Judith, into his routine nicely but he will be glad to have proper family life back I reckon! It's very quiet when I visit of course, just the two of us!
Aw a happy cat is a lovely sight. Today I let my cats out after 2 weeks in the new house... it was nervewracking but seemed to go ok as they enjoyed exploring, came back and slept and slept after the excitement! The difference with the litter tray is heartening too! :)
