Out for lunch at a friends history group today.
Held at this quite nice local hotel, we had a three course meal & a talk about Poulton & area.
I should have taken the photo as we arrived because all the alpacas were in the field in front of the house. I took this afterwards & of course they were sitting around the tree almost out of sight,
News about Charlie today. He's had his third brain operation yesterday, the small amount of tumour left had started to grow & a new cyst appeared. It seems all out now & just to get well for proton beam as soon as he is strong enough.
Three good things:
1. Updates.
2. A really good book called The Flower Arrangement by Ella Griffin. Easy read but charming story, great descriptions of flowers.
3. All fences creosoted & looking smart.
Poor little darling - he is going through such a lot ,isn't he - lets hope this the turning point before his big treatment !
lovely peaceful looking scene and I am sure you had a wonderful meal and talk !
@julzmaioro You can see an alpaca in front if the wall but they were hiding. Yes very tough on all of them but he was chirpy after the op apparently. @huvesaker Will have had an update online.
Looks a good place for lunch.
I hold my breath each time you update us on Charlie's progress, wishing for good news for your little soldier. He - and his family - is going through such a tough time.
Glad you mentioned the Alpacas or I wouldn't have noticed them! Lovely image of this pretty building and big tree. I don't know Charlie's story, but it sounds as if he's going through a traumatic time. I hope he recovers quickly.
@jamibann Thank you Issi. Charlie is my friends three year old grandson who had a brain tumour in his brain stem. Very fast growing & they only gave him a short time to live after his first op but a wonderful surgeon removed practically all of it a month ago & the remainder hopefully yesterday. Massive amount of money raised to send him for proton beam therapy. Lots of set backs but hopefully all will go to plan from now on.
Looks like a good haha here - I presume you know what this is! Silly name. Sounds like an interesting afternoon - history, friends and a good meal. Poor Charlie! Everyone is thinking of him and his family!
@maggiemae Ha ha maggie yes I know what a haha is & you're right though I didn't notice it at the time. Too busy chasing the alpacas & trying to get them to come to me. Yes a good afternoon. It I am eating far too much this week!
great lunch place!
Let's hope Charlie doesn't need any more surgery.. tough on a little guy..
