Circular walk from Barton Grange Garden Centre via the Lancaster Canal
A lovely walk along the canal side this afternoon.
Believe me I would much rather sit & read my book but once I'm out I enjoy it!
Very busy today as it's half term, the garden centre was absolutely heaving especially the Flower Bowl where there is ten pin bowling, curling, mini golf etc.
Just round the corner from this peaceful spot was a few entertainment rides along side Guys Thatchrd Hamlet
All back to normal next week!
Three good things:
1. The smell of peat burning as I walked along. The canal barges on the canal were busy.
2. We have booked a couple of nights away in November.
3. A very handy M&S Simply Foods shop at the garage.
How lovely to be able to walk here and such a nice image. As it gets colder it is hard to stay motivated to get out and walk, but as you say, feels good when you do.
What lovely peaceful scene Pat , away from the maddening crowds ! So good to still have this gorgeous Autumn weather ! (It usually rains for Schools 1/2 term !!)
I was just contemplating my book club book or a walk (been busy today with driving and an interview but only 2000 steps??) Wish I had somewhere as lovely as this to go walking. Beautiful
How nice to have a canal to walk around - do you have to drive to it then park the car? The scene would be so familiar to you but to us, its so nice to see! Your area really hums with activity!

@maggiemae I oarked up at the garden centre & just walked round the block maggie! I feel the same looking at other people's areas, might be everyday stuff to us but to others it's so interesting to see especially other countries!
Lovely place to walk. So peaceful somehow canals and paths,away from the roads. Our halfterm in next week here.johns mum still in. Had have few blood transfusions.got air in her lung around the wound so got have a drain in.she just wants to get home now. X
Lovely route for a walk. Everywhere is heaving during half term methinks! From next Summer, we will no longer have to holiday during the school holidays.......wow......that will be cheaper and less crowded then! We hope!! But can't believe our "baby" will be leaving school, so a tad bittersweet.
This looks lovely. I'm full of admiration for you Pat with all the walking that you do. I was thinking of you today when I was enjoying shopping in M&S food hall and thinking what a pleasant experience it was compared to shopping in Aldi - and I got some lovely things to eat :)
@casablanca Swings & roundabouts but next thing your chick won't want to come on holiday with his old dad & mum! Sad days then! Unless of course you're going to a fab expensive holiday to foreign parts!
