Back from our four days in Rome.
Having a go at continuing 365 project again, I will do my best but have really got out of the habit of posting each day.
Rome was amazing....we had stunning weather, 23deg with a light breeze.
I was slightly underwhelmed by the Colosseum I must say.
Three good things:
1. I have got round to posting at last!
2. Grateful that my daughter & granddaughter made the effort to take me to Rome.
3. Thanks for keeping us safe as we crossed the roads in the city....the traffic was mad...cars & scooters charging about with no regard for pedestrians.
A super shot and a great pov through the archway - welcome back after your hols - glad you had a lovely time to unwind !! it will be great seeing you back on 365 again with all of your northern news in picture !! :)
I remember this scene from way back. There were groups of gypsies milling about with sneaky ways of stealing from you! One snatched a wallet, put it under her shoulder strap and when confronted, pulled her dress up to show she had no pants on!
So pleased to see you posting again and nice that you had a lovely break away with 'your girls'.. missed you day to day photo's .. don't put any pressure on yourself .. look forward to seeing more Rome shots..
Oh my gosh just had another look at your photo .. look at all the people .. up top... amazing history ..
So good to see you back again Pat. I hope you are feeling refreshed after your break. Looks like you had nice weather in Rome. Look forward to more of your holiday photos.
Wasn't it wonderful having such lovely warm and sunny weather at the weekend in Italy! I got back to 4degrees and rain and wind, but felt the sunshine was a huge boost for school break!
Am green with envy. When Père Alain, our parish priest proposed a trip to Rome, l bit his hand off! R didn't want to go; he hates being in groups etc. and although there were only 15 of us, the sense of a small private group was only pleasurably 'lost' when in the key churches and the Vatican. I loved every minute of it and took every opportunity to be a non tourist. During our stay, I variously walked around 'our locale' early in the morning, visited the Museum of Torture, and went to the coast on a bus, packed with families, children and dogs. Don't ask me where...returned on the train after a splendid day...want/intend/needs must go again ;-)
I loved Rome when I visited. It's tough to get back into the habit of uploading daily - I know because I'm trying the same thing! There is something about the wonderful 365 community that keeps drawing up back ;)
amazing pic. I need to visit Rome
Thank you for your welcome back, I have missed you all I must say...there has been something missing in my life this last few weeks!
Oh my gosh just had another look at your photo .. look at all the people .. up top... amazing history ..
