We stayed in a lovely air b&b whilst in Rome.
In the Travistere area of Rome, we couldn’t have been in a nicer area.
Narrow cobbled streets with piazzas full of street cafes & quirky shops & lovely churches.
We did head out to the more well known parts of Rome but every night we were so glad to end the evening in Trastivere.
Three good things:
1. I’ve spent the whole of the afternoon cleaning out the area under our stairs, it was amazing what turned up! A job well done & about time too!
2. The first night with no b&b for weeks.
3. Chocolate.....two squares tonight!
Wonderful - cobbled alleyways are beautiful and intriguing whatever the country ! Love the light reflecting on the cobbles -well worn and polished with passage of time - Great find and capture Pat - fav And two squares of chocolate sounds in order after a day under the stairs !!
@beryl Yes cobbles are very atmospheric but we had to watch where we walked sometimes..eyes down & so many steps to climb....lots of footsteps on the Fitbit! Yes a horrid dusty job...I don’t think I had been under there properly for years! I feel pleased with myself!
Only two squares! What restraint. I love this image as it seems mysterious and makes me want to be there and explore more. So lovely to see you posting when you can.
No people - tourists up this sweet little alley! Thought there might be and old lady sitting outside, dressed in black and crocheting a collar! Your trip must be over!
