Short of ideas today but as I was checking a room for a b&b due in this evening the bed post took my eye.
Chilly wind & some rain this morning, not such good weather for the Bank Holiday celebrations in Garstang!
Crowning of the Rose Queen & all the floats in the parade but they have had worse!
Three good things:
1. Listening to the top 50 requested songs on Smooth Radio...we are up to number 13.
2. I’m reading a fantastic easy reading book by an Irish writer called Roisin Meaney....so easy to read, I could sit in my chair all day to finish it then I will be sad!
3. Steak for tea.
A cute image. A shame it could be wet for the events in Garstang. We have Queen’s Birthday weekend next weekend. Last long weekend til the end of October.
Reminds me of the song - does your chewing gum lose its flavour on the bedpost overnight - but in this case its a sweet scented doily! I just bought on kindle, "The Daisy Picker' by Roisin!
@maggiemae Oh have you maggie, the one I’m reading is the first of hers I’ve read. This one is called The Street where you Live, I’m really enjoying it. Must check out yours, I would certainly buy another on my kindle!
@onewing I’m just having my usual business ones Babs, regular one every week & three more from the same local firm that come for a couple of nights every two weeks or so. This week we have a chap who comes three times a year every year. They all have just one bag, not extra stuff so I can just make the bed & put their bag in the wardrobe if we have a viewer. I will miss these so much, they are delightful! House sale going slow but everyone says early days yet! 😕
Lovely - I do love a brass bedstead! Do you remember the magnificent Flanders and Swann song about them and the way you always find one in a pond in the middle of nowhere?
