@julzmaioro I e just had a pen easy peel satsumas....so easy to eat! I thought satsumas just appeared at Christmas time but seem to be around all year now!
THey pick up trans and recycle on Friday - the recycle comes to my job the trash goes to another facility. I only see one bin - do you not have recycle.
@joansmor Yes we do Joan, these grey bins are for general rubbish, green ones for garden waste, brown for cardboard & paper & blue ones for glass & plastic. Alternate weeks for collection. Grey & green this week, blue & brown next week.
The lane is just wide enough for the truck to get down! I looked up tiffin and this is what we called chocolate fudge squares. Mum used to make it but she had to hide it because we all nibbled and nibbled at it. One time she put it on top of the wardrobe but I had sneaked around and spotted her. Strangely enough when she took it down, it had all the outside edges cut out!
Looks like a pleasant lane. Our garbage pick up is on Fridays, no recycling out here in the boondocks (rural area). For recycling, we have to do it on our own, taking paper to a place that accepts paper donations and plastic to some stores that accept it for their recycling bins.
@grannysue Great to hear other countries names for places in the middle of the country....wop wops I know from NZ ....a bit more effort from you re recycling then!
@maggiemae Who could resist your mums fudge squares...they sound delicious!
The Cadbury’s Tiffin bar made with chocolate, raisins & biscuit was introduced in 1937 but discontinued in 1972. Brought back from 1985 to 2003 there has been a continued campaign to bring it back. Apparently it’s now back permanently on the sweet shop shelves!
Tiffin! Haven't seen that one in years! Most things Cadbury are good in my book :) I am not one for the 70% plus dark chocolate fashion, though I am sure there are people out there who like it!
. Our yummy satsumas are around now..
