Inside looking out

We had only our second chance of looking in our doer up bungalow today. We haven’t set foot in it since last March but today we met the architect for the first time so we’re there for an hour looking round.
We had to have the estate agent there too as we aren’t allowed to go in on our own because we can’t actually buy this property until probate has gone through which we heard yesterday could take until end of October! 😱

Never mind we had interesting ideas from the expert & he’s drawn up first draft of something like we would like to live in.
Very age friendly as we need to be ready for any eventuality of old age! Sounds awful but if it keeps us out of the nursing home that’s all we want!

While we were sitting in the garden & the architect inside working out plans we saw two very small kittens coming out of the overgrown flower beds.

Three good things:
1. Experts with great solutions!
2. Glorious weather with not a cloud in the sky!
3. A bbq tonight cooked by our NZ visitors!
Boo
good plan. I said to Mr. Boo that we should build decking all around the house with some ramps as well, that way we can stay here and not moveinto an old folks home. Can't wait to see it all finished and you living there

Looks and sounds wonderful but October seems such a long way away! Lots to look forward to Pat!

@pamknowler Such a long time away, the last owner dues just after the sale was agreed but that was in April so why it’s taking so long when she was a single lady I have no idea! It’s in the courts hands so we can do nothing about it.
@julzmaioro We are really looking forward to getting going, was really disappointed to hear that yesterday.

My first thought was - what a lovely big window ,looking out onto the garden . Ooh Pat quite a time to wait but on the other hand - so much to do and plan that the time will soon pass by !- just in the meantime - enjoy the summer !

It must be so frustrating to be held up for so long and not be able to get cracking in your new house.

Beautiful

Lovely spot. We made some mistakes in our building plan that we will regret in the years ahead!

Nice shot.

I've never understood how probate can take so long. October will whizz round and it'll give you time to get all your ducks in order. The house looks lovely, and the garden is obviously being looked after. Seems like you'll have a great view!

Sorry for mass reply but just waiting for the oven cleaner man to arrive!
Biggest trouble we are going to have is deciding which furniture we can fit in....a clash of opinions is on the cards I can see! The new owners are wanting to buy anything we leave so it would be good to decide soon but sentimental attachment is hard...not for me but Harry is very attached to things. All good stuff!!

OH gosh, probate takes a long time! Wishing you speed on that front, as much as is possible anyway!! Looks a super place.

That's a lovely view.....
delays are always frustrating but the time will work out and having your place sold is so good. Just enjoy a day at a time anyway 😊😊

@happypat okay...house selling is different in Scotland and England.
Hope all goes smoothly anyway.
