Remembering a summer afternoon

Taken just three days ago but it’s such different weather today, so much rain & not much hope for the rest of the week either.

The Cartford Inn.

Three good things:
1. My DIL’s parents who I’m taking to the surgery for dressing changes don’t need to go next week...I must say the nurses are very good & things are soon back to normal again. Just one more visit on Friday.
2. A long talk to Jack on Skype. Lots of his amazing holiday photos to look at taken on his recent holiday in Thailand & Vietnam.
3. Resisting a gorgeous pair of expensive boots! 😩
Even 3 days ago the ground was wet to remind us of the washout summer ! A horrendous day here too - torrential rain for most of the day and no let off in the next day or two !! So your good Samaritan deeds are coming to an end - I am sure they have appreciated your help ! Isn't communications so wonderful these days - nice for you to keep up with Jack's life . Boots will soon be needed if this weather continues ! although I am not a boots person !

@beryl I love boots Beryl...I look every year but you shouldn’t need to buy boots every year so I must behave! Hope your foot is feeling a bit less painful. I was talking to my Cathy about your problem something she knows lots about of course with being a podiatrist. She say there a lot in exercise procedures, supports etc but reiterated it was very painful condition.

@happypat Thanks Pat I have a sheet of exercises the physio gave nme back in May when I had the injection and I daily do these - I must admit I slackened off after the heel was better - but back doing daily again . I have bought different things to put in my shoe/sandal ! and at the moment have strapped my foot up ( sound like a race horse don't I .Ha )

All those ribbons on the tree - it must mean something. Nice to see another side to the Cartford. As I've said before - the district nurses come to our home to change dressings! So good!

@brennieb Dare not tell you how much these ones I saw were! 😳. The ribbons have been on that tree for over a year now left over from when their daughter got married, just looped over the branches, very effective!

@maggiemae b. To be honest the district nurse should come out to them Maggie but funds are low in the NHS so as long as he can get there they will let you. Dies get them out for a change of scene though & it’s good to keep moving!

Such an interesting photo, it reminds me of an old fashioned picture book.
It would look nice too if you cropped out the car and the people on the right of the picture.
What is the significance of the streamers in the trees?

She looks like she is having a lovely time. Warm one minute, pouring the next. It's a weird Summer, isn't it? Hope you are feeling 100% again soon.
