Our neighbours are away on holiday & we are so tempted to nip over the fence & rescue some of these beautiful plums dangling on that tree.
Such a shame they are going to waste & the wasps having a field day!
Three good things:
1. We have resisted up to now to trespass.
2. Slightly cooler today & I was happy to get out my warmer tops! I do prefer winter clothes!
3. I have made my signature oat biscuits for the first time for weeks....feels good to have the biscuit tin full.
I agree with Boo...go for it! Looks to be plenty for you and the wasps. This is such a beautiful look at your neighborhood. Such a charming house in the background. And I love your TGT, especially #2. I cannot wait for cooler weather to arrive in my part of the world. Still sultry summertime here.
@huvesaker@peggysirk I would hate to get caught as these are the only neighbours that would bother if we did pinch any......sods law they would catch us, we have discussed it but they might have cameras! 😳😨
If they are Victoria plums - my favourite- I would be hard pressed to leave them to the wasps. Are your neighbours so mean spirited to begrudge you a few plums?
I don’t think they would mind you picking the ripe plums, so much better than them rotting on the ground! We are still unbearably hot here, the fewer clothes the better!
@pamknowler Yes I think so ...we have had a few problems with them over the years...nothing major but they soon fall out with us all down the lane! Do t think twice about climbing over the fence to our side if they see something they want to look at....we talk but are wary!
@huvesaker Ha ha, Boo! Just imagine it! What a picturesque cottage! Pity they aren't of similar nature! Oh, well there are often neighbours like that! We are lucky - all our neighbours are our friends!
@maggiemae We all get on really well down our lane but I think it’s fair to say we all think one house is slightly off the radar..... I like to keep the peace!
What a good job none of our neighbours read these comments! By the way it’s not the ones on the thatched, that is on the other side of the road!
They taste better when they are scrumped! I would have gone like a shot but made sure I left a healthy covering on the tree for them and the birds - and to cover my tracks. Haha!. And if they were nice they would have had some jam or stewed fruit.
They are back tonight....too late!😩. You are all very naughty !
Yes very tempting, we love Victoria plums...will be interesting to see now they are home how long before they pick them!
