I finished a really good library book this morning.
The Secret Keeper by Susan Lewis...a great read after the massive read of A Suitable Boy.
I treated myself by coming downstairs at 7.30am...Harry had the kettle on so I made a cup of tea & went back to bed to finish the book putting the electric blanket on as I got in!
I had to order something from Amazon the other day & if I bought something else it made it a free postage buy.
I added this book to get free postage & making this book £5 so good value. It’s the sort if book you buy anyway & want in your bookcase.
I loved The Salt Path...this is the sequel.
Three good things:
1. I’ve been sorting our filing cabinet out...half a bin bag full of old bills.
2. A new series of The Repair Shop started yesterday. New series of Escape to the Country too...
3. I found a big bag of chocolate buttons...they have all melted together but will still taste good! 😋
Not familiar with either book. I am reading one by Nora Roberts and just finished one by John Sandford. Only mine are audio books rented from the library.
I think we all love reading and read the same sort of books. I've read The Salt Path and loved it. Will try and get this one from the Library. Now accessed the Library and put it on Hold as its not available yet.
Love all your recommendations for reading......I seem to be too busy too often to fit much reading for pleasure into life!! 24000 steps today just walking to and from and around school and then working in the garden!!!! Not much chance to read with all this going on!!! But I am wondering about The Salt Path....I think I might have a go!
@sarah19 You will love the Salt Path Sallie, see if you can get it from the library. That’s a great number of steps, you must fall asleep when you sit down!
@maggiemae It’s only just come out here maggie, last week sometime & only available in hard back at the moment. I was going to read it on my kindle but by the time I had reduced the PP on my parcel it worked out cheaper to actually buy the book!
Am currently reading Margaret Atwood's short stories, ‘Wilderness Tips'. A Canadian, she has written novels, short fiction, short stories and 4 books of poetry. Her work has remarkable range and reach.
Love your nr.2.
