A miserable day....we have been out briefly but soon scuttled back home!
I took this shot last night...I only have one vase that’s not packed away so I put these lilies in with some we received last week. Thought they looked rather nice!
My favourite glass for my evening G&T.
Three good things:
1. Just finished a book called Small Pleasures by Clare Chambers. I really enjoyed it but was slightly disappointed in the abrupt ending.
2. We are loving this warm house free from droughts & the same temperature all through...never had that in our lives before....big houses are never the same temperature all through the house!!
3. A free local magazine through the door.
A lovely bouquet of lilies !Such an elegant flower ,but I can not tolerate in the house - as I get a hay-fever reaction to them ! Miserable day here too but nice to notice that you are referring to the new house as "home ":)
@beryl Ha Ha yes so I have Beryl...I hadn’t realised but yes it does feel more like home I think....can’t say I have massively missed the farmhouse. Harry is opposite now looking after one of his holiday charges Bramble the cat & the two hens Ginger & Hannah.
Lovely light and flowers. I know what you mean about big houses having variable temperatures! The warmest room in our house at present is the newly refurbished toilet which has a tall heated towel rail!!!! 😂😂😂
Ah, your flowers must be heart-warming on a miserable day. Glad you've still got hold of your favourite G&T glass, and that you're enjoying the cosiness of your new pad!
