A fabulous walk today with Cathy & Connie.
Cathy had a patient to look at in Lancaster & afterwards we parked up in Hest Bank, walked along the canal to Bolton le Sands where Connie had a great time on the sands. Lots of love other dogs doing the same but she never bothered them.
You can just about see across Morecambe Bay here across to Grange over Sands & the South Lakeland fells. Lovely today but horrendously bleak in the winter!
It was a lot busier than it looks here!
Three good things:
1. We took a picnic to eat & bought a coffee.
2. The walls at the bungalow are growing higher & higher!
3. I had my eyebrows done this afternoon when I got back. I have thick eyebrows so was glad to get them trimmed.
Just as an afterthought I have done 15922 steps today so far! 😳. A good day walking!
@bkp Morecambe Bay is pretty famous for its fast incoming tide. When the tide is out it’s a vast expanse of sand & dangerous sinking sands. There is a guide who takes walks across the bay & knows exactly the way to go. He’s called The Queens Guide & Cedric Robinson 85 who has been the guide for the last 56 years stepped down last year & a new guide appointed. People walk across for charity.
