No photo today so I’ve posted one I took a couple of weeks ago.
My brother & sister in law moved to the village of Hayton in Cumbria near Carlisle. The village has a scarecrow competition each year so my sister in law & her twin granddaughters made these two girls in their likeness.
I thought they were brilliant but sadly they didn’t make the cut! 🥲
You can see the girls are sitting in a building site ....they are doing their house up too!
Three good things:
1. We have a new baby boy in our family...my sisters son & his wife had their second son yesterday.
2. I found my sandals in the container when Jack & I went to get our big TV out to put in our daughters sitting room for us to watch while we are staying there.
3. I met up with the floor tiler today just to check what’s to be done, she’s going to do the bathroom tiling too.
These are brilliant! Sorry they didn't make the cut though. Does that mean they couldn't enter them in the competition or that they didn't win a prize?
@busylady They didn’t win a prize Judith. They were on display all last week outside all of the houses, the judges went round judging & prize giving this last Sunday.
Congratulations on the new family member! The scarecrows are brilliant- I love a scarecrow festival. We went to Kettlewell a few years ago whilst theirs was on and it was so good seeing their creativity!
These are so cute! I thought they were sitting in your house to frighten away any construction site prowlers. ☺
How exciting that there is a new little one in your family!
