I have been very absent from 365 but we’ve had lots to do this week.
View from the new decking down the garden.
Harry mowed the lawn….you can see where the three original flower beds were by the green new grass seeds.
A squirrel sitting under the tree. He must have found some nuts under the newly filled bird feeders.
Three good things:
1. Our spare bedroom is now only three quarters filled instead of full!
2. Cathy & Garth came & helped us sort stuff out.
3. We seem to have new everything….had to buy new pans, sweeping brush, floor cleaning equipment, it goes on but lovely to have all new spanking clean stuff.
Oh I am so pleased you are in your lovely 'new' home.. The last few months have been very busy for you.. now relax and enjoy this view.. and wildlife..
@busylady They have been neglected Judith…we didn’t think any birds had been on the feeders, they are a bit far away to see but think they must have done as the squirrel is eating underneath.
Ooh so lovely for you to be in your new home , a few more days , you will be able to relax and take it all in - Good for Harry - quite a big lawn to mow . But a lovely lawn , perhaps a game of croquet next summer !!
A wise decision to grass over those old plots. It used to be the thing years ago - circular plots but now its all curves and long stretches of grass! You probably don't know what you haven't got until you need it!
Congratulations on the move back into your bungalow. It's been exciting watching the progress over the last few months. Now you get the chance to enjoy the lovely home you've created.
How exciting you are now in your new home. It will be a bit like Christmas as you unpack your belongings after such a long time.
We had the same when we moved from Melbourne to New South Wales.
We sold our house in Melbourne, moved into an RAAF married quarter in New South Wales but had most of our belongings other than large furniture packed in boxes until we bought a house here. That process took 6 months so we really enjoyed opening the boxes again once we moved in this house.
@onewing You must have been well practised Babs! It was just like Christmas you’re right, couldn’t remember what was in the boxes…half of it still packed up still but we are getting a skip this week, more throwing out of stuff!
