After that delicious breakfast we caught the Metro into central Newcastle for a good few hours of shopping.
Quite an adventure for me as it’s years since I’ve been on the London Underground or similar.
Just a couple of stops to travel, Lydia is so very central to all she needs where she lives. The eating places & metro were all within ten minutes walk away.
Three good things:
1. Spending such a lovely time with family & that I was well enough to go.
2. We had great weather.
3. I didn’t spend too much!!
So glad you are feeling better and managed to control your spending. I find it hard these days as I rarely go into town so tend to get overexcited when I do go!!
Good that someone knew how to get from A to B on the underground. Photo with only 2 people, one with a mask on, the other 2 metres away. Obeying all the rules!
Not too many people around. It feels strange travelling further from home since Covid doesn't it. We are going to Newcastle next Saturday for the first time in months. I will need my vaccination passport though.
