Red box

Our red post boxes look very nice always especially in front of a nice looking public house.

Outside Hawkshead Post Office.

Three good things:
1. I bought a dress in Lytham yesterday but didn’t like it on me when I got home. Took it back today & exchanged it for a jacket! I was intending to get my money back but I failed badly!!
2. Written in the dirt on the back of a car I was following..’I love my daddy’
3. Birthday cards to our twin grandchildren in NZ posted today.

I always find the old fashioned post boxes so attractive ! This one looks specially attractive against the white pebble-dash wall of the pub .
Ha ! I had to smile - returning a dress and coming home with a jacket !! not a bad exchange !

@beryl Did I need a jacket though Beryl though that is the question. It’s a navy blue jersey fitted one I can dress up or down but have managed quite well without one up to now! I’m really after a navy pea coat but wrong time of the year I think.

Our new UK neighbors have just put up their new letter box and it is a mini of this.. funny seeing as you have a 'kiwi letterbox.. I have shocked myself and bought 2 dresses lately..

@julzmaioro I love clothes Julz but trying not to buy any, I really do t need anything new. I blame the fact I never had any new ones when I was a kid or for that matter, only when I started doing B&B did I have any spare money. Dresses are very popular here but I rarely wear them.

Love this bright and cheery post box! Much like the iconic red British telephone boxes. I don't suppose you see as many of those anymore. What we refer to as pay phones are few and far between. I can't remember the last time I saw a public pay phone.
I just ordered online a dress for a nephew's wedding. I hope it fits well and I like it as much in person. Such a pain to return things via mail.

@peggysirk No not many red pay phones around now. I think there are some working ones around but you do see some used as little book exchanges etc…no one seems to need them now. There are a row of about six all in a long row in our nearest city Preston. Outside the old post office but they are all a lovely red & a sort of historic sight to see these days!
Hope the dress fits & you like it. I buy online too & mostly sending back is very simple thank goodness!
