We’ve had our wood burner connected up today but sadly no fire tonight!
When the fitters checked inside they found that the grid at the bottom where you build the fire was unbalanced & wouldn’t lie flat.
One side was 10 mil out so it didn’t sit straight.
He has taken it to the local welding business to have it built up.
We did hope he would bring it back this afternoon but no luck!
Three good things:
1. Harry has mown the lawn, quite a thing at this time of the year but it’s been so mild & the new seeds were looking messy.
2. I have had an epic few days of reading & finished two books since last Friday.
3. My brother & sister in law & their dog have got as far down as Clermont-Ferand with their caravan on their usual trip to Spain for a couple of months at this time of the year.
Our wood burner, in the Snug is in Go Mode…and more importantly our bedroom is directly overhead…so it's always 'toasty' there. Mitzi & Chania profit from sleeping in the Snug…with the log burner. Happy Family? You bet!
How annoying after all this wait ! Hope they will fix it asap !! Gary is itching to go out to mow the lawns too !! they have continued to grow this winter - perhaps later this week !
