I had a really busy day yesterday as we had a funeral midday & Cathys long day at work so I took Connie up Beacon Fell in the morning.
I hadn’t been up there for a few weeks & was quite shocked at the amount of tree felling going on. Apparently there has been a lot of wind damage.
Three good things:
1. The biggest funeral I have seen for a very long time. A local farmer died reasonably young & the whole area turned out. Three large tractors accompanied the coffin to the church & afterwards on his journey to the crematorium.
2. No need to wear masks in England from today but pretty much everyone was still wearing them in the shops I went in.
3. A clean car.
Looks a nice place to sit and think.. though looks a bit chilly.. The no mask wearing sounds a bit crazy.. hopefully that works out for the best.. Though I must say so many people wear them wrong so a waste of time anyway..
Must of been a very moving day for you all..
@dide Quite a lot in our papers re your new rules on covid….mostly New Zealanders bemoaning they can’t get home but they have a point….we have to live with it. We have dropped all rules from today but it’s up to us to regulate ourselves from now on.
@julzmaioro We have to live with it Julz….NZ will come to that conclusion too eventually…the country had to get back to normal before there is no economy left.
@joansmor No it’s not us Joan….just a girl on a bench with her dog! Connie was running around all over as she normally does, no time for photos, mind you this dog was on its lead.
Her dog is eyeing you intently but she, the girl, isn't aware. Wonder what the white cairn is about. A young-ish farmer just died a few days ago in this district.
Must of been a very moving day for you all..
