The last cut… by happypat

The last cut…

Our neighbours across the road have sold their house so tonight have been giving their hedge probably the last trim.
John & Gillian have it down to a fine art. He has one of these lightweight lithium hedge cutters, he made the frame to stand on…it has wheels & Gillian pushes him along! They can do the whole thing in less than an hour!
Taken through our kitchen window.

Three good things:
1. Good tennis this afternoon. I have a very nasty cough so have been lying in the sofa all afternoon.
2. We have ordered our Westmorland Show tickets.
3. Vicks
Wow, that’s some teamwork!

That frame is great! Must show hubby. He and the Young Fella use stepladders…..that is much more stable looking.

It still requires quite a bit of effort but being at the right height is so good. I must say a neat hedge has such a good look!

I'm impressed. By the photo, but also by that hedge cutting! Excellent set up, but it reminds me that ours is needing cut. Hubby keeps threatening to pull it out. I'm not so sure. It is superfluous to requirements in our garden, but I fear that removing it will leave a vast swathe of nothingness which will just need to be filled!
