Slippery slope. by happypat

Slippery slope.

I slipped down these steps this morning, luckily no one saw me!!! They were very mossy & I had my pumps on after callenetics & they had no grip & down I went on my behind!

These steps lead down from the canal above to the River Wyre below which runs underneath the canal via a viaduct.
If you took this after your tumble, you managed to keep a very steady hand, please be more careful. Lovely focus and dof :)

Ouch! Be careful - it is slippery now when summer turns autumn.

Lovely shot though.

Ouch. Glad you are okay. Love your perspective...but you know I am imagining you sprawled at the bottom, holding your camera up and snapping away.

Owwww - you'll have bruises all over :0(. Glass of wine and arnica prescribed... What's this beautiful flower? Lovely job with your new camera and I'm glad you didn't drop it. (BTW - I fell all the way down the stairs at the doctor's one - luckily not carrying a child. They had shiny metal edges on the stairs and they were really slippery. I should have complained but was just glad to get away unnoticed and with only a very big bruise.)

Ouch, your tailbone is going to be hurting. You WERE holding on to the hand rails, right? Hope you are feeling better. Guess your camera didn't get hurt, lovely flower.

And then you took this picture of the offending staircase? Well done! Hope the bruises weren't too bad.

Oh dear I bet that hurt.! You managed to take a lovely photo. Take care.

really sorry for the mass reply but you are all so kind & I feel quite a fraud as there was no damage just a bit of shock as my foot slipped. Soon recovered & no damage to the camera, it was very damp down these steps. The flower is a weed but I don't know the name, it grows in rampant style along the banks of rivers. I was practicing my DOF so I am rather happy with this photo & thank you for all your nice comments. A bit flustered tonight as two B&B's arrived & I hadn't looked in the book so forgot they were coming!! Luckily all ready for them but they do like a good talk so am behind with commenting!

@snowy Is it really Diana, clever you for knowing that!!!! Will try & remember!

Oh dear!! Please do be careful, Pat. I remember when I fell last Winter. The swelling and pain didn't come on until hours later. We are so silly tho, aren't we? The only concern is that 1. I hope that no one saw me, and 2. I hope that my camera is alright. Love your photo .. the whole comp is lovely ... great dof and beautiful view! You are rocking that camera. :)

Oh my goodness, Pat ~ what a day! A fall followed by forgotten guests. Bless your heart. I hope that your bumps and bruises are minor. I know that your guests are well cared for and enjoying their stay. So sorry you didn't have a day or so to recover from the stumble down the stairs. :( I will say that the site of your fall is lovely, but I can see how it might be treacherous when slippery! Hope you are feeling okay today...I second @judithg Judith's wine prescription. :)

@peggysirk Some might have kindly refrained from saying perhaps it was because of the wine after all the Irish pub pictures Peggy!!!!! I don't think the B&B realised I had forgotten...I think I covered my tracks fairly well!
