We met this man who was setting his night nets out all along the breakwater.
Of course Tui barked at him & raised her hackles, I was embarrassed....no training at all!!! She is really friendly but does look rather intimidating with the hair on her neck raised up.
Three good things today....
1. A friend has come through his operation alright.
2. I have had a great afternoon catching up on The Great British Bake Off which I missed the other night.
3.I have had a slightly cheaper quote for my very expensive tyres which need replacing.
Love the beautiful lighting and silhouettes ...the colors are lovely. Is that Tui in the photo? Looks like a dog who's enjoying herself walking along side the man! Beautiful pov, Pat.
GBB was spectacular this week - I must catch up on the older ones if they are still on iPlayer and I reckon I could do a better creme caramel (with a proper recipe that is!) - got lots of eggs so I'm going to try it out. Very tricky lighting with the beach here. With sunset shots I tend to use the P setting and then use the Q button to adjust the expose down by one notch to bring the colour of the sky out - but you would have lost some of the detail on the beach in this case.
@judithg I have been looking in my book & will try your ploy Judith because I must go again as soon as it's a good sunset. That Q button is brilliant !
@karenann Must admit the man & dog were both out of their comfort zone...Harry worried about sinking sands & the dog stressed with all that water ....I think I will go on my own next time Karen.
@happypat And take your tennis racquets for your feet if there are sinking sands.... Monty loves a beach but he's a town dog - he's loves anywhere with space to roll a hoop TBH.
Good news on all 3!! Have all the GBBOs taped, haven't seen one yet!! A tip for silhouettes, get down low and shoot up so the people are silhouetted against the sky. Lovely shot still though :))
Thank you all very much & it was good practice!
