The base of the tower at Blackpool. A little further along is the entrance to the famous Tower Ballroom which is truly magnificent.
On the opposite side are a row of shops, Waterstones book shop, Primark, HMV, Boots & several independent shops.
The black frontage on the corner are some sort of dungeons & horror venue, not quite sure & no interest in finding out!!!!!!
How bizarre it appears to be built in the middle of a cluster of buildings or on the top of one!! You should experience the dungeon so you can tell your guests!!! I rely on my guests to do the research!!!
@netkonnexion@fannyb The Tower seems to sit on top of a building not coming out of the ground as you would imagine. There used to be a zoo, sea world ., amusement arcades plus the famous ballroom, not sure what is in there now.
@anazad511 It is Anazad but we think it looks rather odd just just sticking out of the building rather than rising straight out of the ground. It must have its base in the ground so must have built round it. I used to go to dances in the ballroom in the late fifties & early sixties!
An interesting shot. We only ever see pictures of the tower from the beach. I would love to visit the ballroom having seen it on 'Strictly Come Dancing.'
Pat, super POV, lovely colours, quite retro feel to the foreground building on the right hand side....best bit........those seagulls flying across the frame
@bpaquette Yes there is a lift to the top Barbara & a glass floor that you can walk across ...very daring! I have only ever been up once before I got married, in our courting days!!!
