I took my camera into Garstang today intending to get some black & white shots.
Tried a few people ones with my longer lens, got accosted by the manager in Booths wanting to know what I was up to so I have given up & posted this shot taken in Lancaster.
How is it people get nervous around cameras?
I should have asked I suppose, I was probably;y taken for a health & safety officer!!!
Lancaster is a dream place to take pictures & I must go again soon!
Love this street scene. That has happened to me twice. It takes me such courage to shoot in public and then when I do take that step outside my comfort zone only to be shot down I have to start all over with the courage thing. Guess we just have to keep trying.
Supermarkets don't like you taking photos Pat, they think you are from the competition. When I was a national account manager i was always getting thrown out of shops!! I like this street shot, so yah boo sucks to Booths, they miss out on a free advert on 365
Sorry to hear that you were given *the bum's rush out of Booth's*, but I am impressed that you had the gumption to try it. One of our son's favorite quotes is that *is much easier to ask forgiveness than to ask permission* ;-)
I think Frances passage is worth a photoshoot on your next visit Pat...you could get some moody silhouettes and gr8 light in that street / passage
