I don't think we realise the amount of planes going over our heads all year round.
It's only when the skies are blue we see all the trails in the sky....the world on the move!
I often see the sky like this - we are under the flight path for Chicago and Toronto to Boston and Montreal to New York. It was SOOO eerie after 9-11 when there were NO flights for days. If you heard a plane, it was military.

Is it noisy? My son and his fiancé just didn't buy a house they were looking at after spending an hour midday sitting on its patio and hearing all the noise
I wonder at the fact that thankfully there are not collision they seem so frequent and close together at times. It was very noticeable how empty the sky's were when that volcano erupted in Iceland.
