I find that the red (life buoy?) detracts from the natural beauty of the scene. So, I prefer the other shot.

Both shots are nice but this one has cleaner lines and perspective and I also like the way the red lifebuoy picks out the red of the boat moored alongside.

Love the pov and the reds, a shot in it's own right. The other is just different, it gives us more of a lake view which is lovely. Room for both I say.

I prefer this one - I like symmetry. I do agree though that the life belt is a bit distracting.

Well both are great shots Pat, but this wins for me...the red buoy gives the shot impact and looks super against the blues....the piece de resistance would be harry stood on the end of the long jetty in the distance ...I think you need to go back for another shoot Pat :) ...assuming Harry will be willing to model ...he will be small in the frame !

I can't decide either - very different feel to the two. I like both - the lines in this one draw me but the inclusion of more of the landscape in the other is lovely as well.
