After the Empire State Building we walked The Highline. This is the old railway track which is raised above the ground & was used to transport meat & goods to the meat packing area of NY.
Someone had the bright idea of renovating it & now it's a lovely walkway with trees & I presume flowers in th summer.
A pretty chilly walk in late March & we were ready for some lunch when we got to the end. It had started to rain then too so we were glad to sit in a great restaurant called Bully's & eat Portland Chicken in a biscuit which was delicious!
Great picture. I love the smiling faces. The window behind is great too. My favourite perfume was called Armani and produced in 1982. It's no longer made and I've never found anything so good.
What a huge menu, Bully's have - just about everything! I presume the 'biscuit' was like our scone? If I was doing this walk, I would be trying to step on just the timber strips all the way!
A lovely shot of two happy faces with evidence of shopping !! Like Margaret a favourite perfume of mine was an Armani and Rod used to buy me on my birthday ! --fond memories !
