I haven’t posted two photos for a very long time but just have to show you this remarkable couple.
The lady came into the tent pushing this pram with a three & a half month old little girl called Layla.
She lifted her out & seemed remarkable proficient, I asked her if she was doing her grandparent duties.
Her answer truly shocked me, it turns out this lady & her husband in their late sixties foster babies.
They have been doing it for fifty three years when their own first baby was very small.
She said she just loved babies! Little Layla was a screamer she said although she was happy enough today. The parents both drug users.
I had so much admiration for them both.
She said they wouldn’t have Layla for long as she was up for adoption.
Wow hats off to them .. would be such a hard thing to do .. just get them to be part of your life and then they go ... pleased this little one is getting a chance of a happy life..
Amazing and so giving , not the easiest of jobs to raise and love a baby or small child and then relinquish the baby to the care of someone else ! I so admire them !
Wow what a wonderful couple! What love and care they have given over all the years!! I am blown away by the very thought of taking a baby for a short time and then giving it up - how heartbreaking that must be. Or maybe they just get there reward from seeing the babies go to good homes. I know I could never do it.
The age of them got me though...where does their energy come from.....she said Layla was not a good sleeper, woke at midnight last night & awake again at 6am....she wanted feeding every two hours. She was a big baby for three & half months,...big feet, going to be a tall girl.
