I had a great walk through town coming home from work today, and ended up taking 5 really nice shots. Although I like this one because it really strikes a cord with me today. I am feeling a little down or perhaps more accurately sentimental today. My family arrived for their visit of two weeks one year ago today, and it remains the only time we have seen eachother in the last 23 months. I remember the happyness and excitment we all had one year ago today and thus am missing that today. Since last summer so much has changed, my older brother is now engaged to a women we haven't even met yet, I'm just feeling the distance a little more lately I guess, and today brought it out even more. So I really like this shot, it just speaks to me today. However I must say we are going home for two weeks in two months, for my brother in law's wedding (he went on the Norway trip with us-see mid may photos) so I am really looking forward to being home and with family again.
Aww, I'm sorry you're feeling a little sad today. This is a beautiful shot and it definitely reflects how you're feeling. It's hard being away from family, but it does make you appreciate the time you spend together all that much more.
It's a beautiful shot though Steve. Despite all of the technology that allows us to speak and even see our friends and family from distant places, it can't beat the tangible feeling of seeing them in person. Chin up mate.

This shot is so beautiful...it made me feel sentimental even before I read the caption... I miss my family, too! I haven't seen them for 6 months, and I talk with my mom almost every day on skype, but it's not the same... Some days it's harder than others, but cheer up - two months will pass so quickly, you won't even know it! I just have to fav this photo - it speaks so much to me!
