I spent all day today digging up a large laurel root, and then digging a short trench in its place to lay an electric cable to link power from our garage to the new shed. It is a job that I have been intending to do for some time, and today the weather was good, so Igot on with it. I didn't think it would take a whole day to do though.
Here is a rather dull before and after shot of the corner where the laurel once stood, but I am too tired to do a better shot now. I am going to ache all over tomorrow!
@mariadarby Sorry - It was a bloody great Cherry Laurel which grow far too big, spread too easily, and are very hard to get rid of. It had to go I'm afraid. It looks much better where it is now.
