Our front lawn has not been mowed for ages, not since our old lawn mower died last year. The ride-on is too big, and buying a replacement has never been a priority, although it does get an occasional strimming. At the moment it is full of these yellow flowers, which the insects love, as there isn't a lot else about at the moment.
I was actually trying to get a shot of the mass of yellow slowers, but I couldn't satisfactorily isolate it from the background. So instead, here is a bee, covered in yellow pollen, busy making the most of a dry day and some available forage.
