We got some rain. It was not an ordinary rain but a sudden and violent storm. No one was particularly concerned about the dangerous clouds approaching, because they happen every day. And suddenly there was a strong wind and rain. It lasted only 20 minutes and the storm was over. I took shelter in the bus shelter and wanted to take a few shots. However, other people arrived and a huge crowd formed.
I have been interested in photography all my life and remember quite well developing my first black and white films myself... My favorite subjects are...
Wow. Unpredictability and volatility seem to be the order of the day as far as the weather is concerned. Excellent capture of the nature of the downpour.
Love the image. It's so interesting how your weather pattern sometimes matches that in Florida (with the exception of the snow and ice). I sometimes forget just how far away you are.
We had something similar happen- a thick dark cloud, wind that sounded like a tornado, tree branches dropping down, and boom- the power went out for 24 hrs! Nothing pretty to photograph like the rain-washed street and headlights of this shot.
There's so much to see: the reflections of the lights in the water, the ponding of the water directly in front of you, and the raindrops lit up in the light flares.
