On Wednesday we headed to the big city.... That would be Burlington. Big in Vermont terms but pretty much a cool college town anywhere else. We also took the boys to The Vermont Teddy Bear Factory. They loved it and got to "make" their own bears by adding the stuffing. My only regret is that I was laughing too hard to get my camera out in time to take a picture of Michael blowing teddy bear stuffing all over David after he was supposed to take his foot off the pedal. It was a veritable cloud! When it settled, David looked like a cotton ball! So this touristy shot will have to do. David was busy getting the car during sudden (and apparently violent) storms that were hitting the area or I would have made him be bear #4!
That's great! I was thinking about you guys when that thunderstorm hit - wondering if you were near the lake and experiencing it. It was pretty vicious, even out where we were!
We missed the whole thing. It rained torrentially after we left the Aquarium (just made it to the Vermont Brewery before the skies opened up - forced to stay for lunch and a beer, a real shame...) And more rain when we left the T.B. factory but nothing too scary. We heard on the news the trouble on the islands but nothing looked amiss when we got back. Go figure!
