Thursday we made "The Trek" across the Green and the White Mountains to the Holy Grail for kiddies - Story Land, in Glen N.H.! It was a ridiculously long drive, complete with traffic, slowpokes on winding country roads, torrential rain and general grumpiness about the futility of our adventure. But the Happy Thoughts prevailed and we made it there just in time for the clouds to break and the sun to shine. It turned out to be a great (but long!) day.
I'm sure a more artistic picture could be had but I decided that is not the point of Story Land. So I just have a bunch of pictures of the kids having fun. My youngest is finally old enough to enjoy the rides (by his own choosing) so here he is about to take David on a ride in a Dutch Shoe. Does it get any better?...
Oh, your long trek will be well worth it and the memory for your kids will live forever. I can remember my parents making these trips with us and I will ALWAYS remember the excitement of the anticipation along with the experience of being there. Great shot!
