Boston Still Strong*

Today is the anniversary of the Boston Marathon bombings that ruined an otherwise wonderful day in the city of Boston. Patriots Day has always been a Massachusetts specialty - with the Revolutionary War reenactments, an early Red Sox Game and, of course, the Marathon. It is also always near or on my birthday so I took it awfully personally that some deranged cowards would take something so great and try to ruin it.... Only they couldn't ruin it. Boston refused to let them! The city is stronger and more unified than ever. And more people are running the marathon this year than only one other time. So take that you stupid misguided terrorists! You definitely picked the wrong day in the wrong city!!

*my only relevant picture of Boston - but still conveys my mood. Love this town!

Beautifully said. Thinking of all those affected that day. Boston is truly a wonderful, brave city.

I love your agitation and "stomp the foot"..."clench your fist defiantly"..."don't let the bastards get you down air"! We're with you Holly! (I have that last saying in Latin which probably might be more genteel, but it's hanging in the attic, so I decided to just run with it! There was nothing genteel about that day!) Now let's celebrate your birthday!
