Bedford Song Book by helenhall

Bedford Song Book

Tuesdays is choir night, and so I present to you some of the contents of The Bedford Song Book. Songs written/arranged by Bedford people - many of whom are members of the choir. Each one is beautifully illustrated by a local artist. Mine is number 180 of 200 editions printed!
One-O-One is a song about the largest airship in the world which was built in 1929 at nearby Cardington Hangers......which is soon to launch the Airlander 10 ship, filled with inert helium rather than R101's explosive hydrogen. We also have a song about the flooding on the Great River Ouse several years ago.

The song book is a beautiful work of art. Each piece of sheet music being produced separately and kept together by the hard back cover.

Tonight we have been singing some Croatian folk songs. Beautiful harmonies, and quite unlike the rendering of the periodic table from Saturday.
Sounds like you are very talented Helen. How wonderful to have your work printed. Singing is such a joyful thing to do. Great shot.

This looks like a real treasure--love the cover, the individual pages you've shown, and the way you've arranged them. Fav for me. Have fun singing!

@kategoring @gaylewood @tristansmum @flowerfairyann thank you all. I'm not talented, but always surprised at how a bunch of average voices can come together to sing with strong rich and wonderful tones.
