A visit to Corbridge today. We parked on the far side of the river here and took a walk along the river bank to some Roman remains. Then back across the bridge from where this shot was taken and into the village. Very attractive place with some lovely housing. We had coffee, and then a beer from the local micro-brewery before meeting up with my cousin and her partner for lunch at the Corbridge larder - all very pleasant. On our way back to the cottage we stopped to watch a Barn Owl hunting as the sun set. Who wouldn't want to live in Northumberland?
