The lenses through which I view the world

My lenses present a restricted view, they filter the world and adjust what they present to my brain. They sometimes get dirty or smeared or marked and they do nothing to prevent blind spots.

And so, what I see is just a view. Never the less, I went to the West Bank and Israel and saw much. I saw that no-one has an enviable life, whether Israeli or Palestinian. Both peoples live in fear.

Tonight, my husband and I presented our views from our visit last Autumn at an illustrated talk to a local twinning group. So I just had time to take one quick snap, inspired by the mundane challenge for the week - glasses.

By the way, my view without these lenses makes for exceedingly difficult photography. Next time, I think I will have to use another pair of glasses to create a serious contender for the challenge.
I love the commentary Helen! Although you may still need your glasses to take the shot of your glasses, this turned out wonderful.

What would we do without them Helen? The world would certainly be a very different and fuzzy place. Like your composition here.

Lovely narrative and equally provocative shot... I'm very short sighted myself... Can't even see the top letter... so understand what you mean about taking photos with glasses on! I'm lucky to be able to wear contact lenses most of the time... Which helps. Great shot and great back story.

Such a wonderful image, Helen! Great idea for a shot and very nice composition! As always, I enjoyed your narrative! :-)

Your comp and pov and the magnification of the word "views" through the lens add up to a great capture for me, fav. Interesting thoughts too.
