Winter light burst by helenhall

Winter light burst

This month is proving a real struggle for me and today was no exception. Although the snow put in an appearance for a short while this morning it didn't settle or provide any photographic joy. By the time had been to the gym it was gone.

I took off later on, in search of a photo for Friday 13th January words. No black cat stretched out in front of a brightly shining full moon. All I saw was grey uniformity and litter. I resolved to keep walking until I found something. Consequently I was out a very long time. Once again my sunset filter on the camera came to my rescue and made something of the momentarily interesting sky that occurred just as I was giving up, and trudging home with heavy boots thick with mud, and a rather downcast spirit.
Oh well you ended up with a lovely shot - but I agree it's not the easiest month...

Lovely light. My eye couldn't let go - in a GOOD way - of the triangle shaped areas of backlit trees, the light burst and the darker sky to the left of the light burst.
