I gave just 10 seconds to photography today but am determined to post and not unhappy with the result all things considered. I noticed new life emerging all around but had no time to stop. By the time I came home the dark was set and the rain had been falling for several hours.
I'm posting both the B&W and untouched colour version today. B&W because I'm sort of, very vaguely and just about clinging on to the notion that I am following flashofred2017. Colour, because, well, I like the colours.
Another 60 cards sold today! What generous colleagues I have. £450 raised by selling cards in just a few weeks.
@naomi Hi Naomi. I started off ordering a wide selection of photos from an internet sight - on introductory offer. For square cards, I have posted most of my squares onto a 6x4 format (as squares are twice the price). Im using packs of 50 blank cards, some craft glue and cellophane wrap. No text or greetings. everyone seems happy with them and at £1.50 per card, that is about £1.20 profit for the charity. It takes a bit of organising but not long to make the cards. It is really interesting to see which are popular. We had an open day and invited friends and neighbours, I got a local shop to take some, I ran card sale at work in lunch time and on a Sunday after church. Also set up a facebook group with copies of the photos so that friends can see what is on offer and make requests. In just four weeks, I have sold over 350 cards. It is really rewarding to actually be doing something with all of these photos. Id say give it a go and try to create some pictures with a local reference - that is what sells best.
