The luscious greens of spring

If spring were to be compressed into just one glorious day, then today might just have been that one.

Colour is busting out all over the place making it difficult to focus on greens alone. I think I have succeeded here but maybe tomorrow, this very bud will be dressed with colour.

I am fortunate to be off work today, and had the time to meander back from a hospital appointment in the glorious sunshine. Also fortunate that the consultant has finally, on the third attempt, managed to burn a hole in my iris successfully such that I no longer have to worry about sudden onset glaucoma. I can't tell you how glad I am to have that behind me.

Mind you - I am thinking that maybe I need to get my hearing investigated next. Here's a little story from the day -

"Excuse me" says the man feeding ducks on the riverside, "Have a good time?" Now it is many many years since I have been propositioned in such a way, and startled, I search my brain for an appropriate answer whilst bearing in mind that there may be an alternative explanation for his question. I open my mouth to reply and in the nick of time comes a realisation..."it's 11.30" I offer, and the answer appears to satisfy him.

Heading home, I'm in heaven as the light shines through a field of crocii and for once, I have time to linger. So, if you head over to my other album, I'll be posting some more colours, since I couldn't resist.

Lovely Helen Fav. I know that feeling of relief when extremely clever consultants manage a successful operation to save your sight as I went through it in December and I'm truly grateful for his brilliant skill

Love your story - 'have a good time'? He's obviously not English!

This is most unusual and very nice. Love how all the hairs and surface textures are so clear

I enjoyed your story as I've often felt that way- but my problem is not hearing, it's often just being lost in thought! Great green shot!

Love this spikey green image, Helen! I am so happy that your eye procedure was successful today. I'm sure you are relieved. Your 'hearing' story gave me quite a chuckle. :-)

This is a great image -- wonderful textures, great tones. And your narrative was so funny to read -- loved it.

Can't mistake this one - it's most definitely green. But green does seem to be appearing, fresh and lush, everywhere I look too. So glad the winter is behind us. Oh, super detail in your shot too.

So glad your
