Purposefully seeking red, I spotted these flowers in a stone container raised high above the flower beds. I captured them on the way to work and then again on the way back. The return leg gave by far the more cheerful result with the brighter backdrop, although the morning version with its moodier atmosphere was also quite appealing.
It is interesting to see the completely different character of a shot, dependent upon time of day and light conditions.
